I saw the naturopath tonight for the first time in two weeks (I stretched it out to allow for my birthday) and I’d lost 400g since last time, but when she did my body composite I’d actually lost 1kg of fat and gained 500g of muscle! All up my total fat and fluid loss is 3.3kg, but my total weight loss is 2.8kg due to muscle gain. It’s not as much as she would have expected in 5 weeks, but given I don’t stick 100% to the eating plan I am wrapped!

I got my 2.5kg reward tonight too! A Billie Goat Moisturiser pack. I was just going to buy the moisturiser, but for $10 extra I got soap and body wash, plus the lady in Myer gave me a goat stuffed toy! So cute! The products smell lovely!

Only 2.2kg to go until my haircut!

Urgh!

So the daily posting became a little tedious and went out the window- there were only so many ways to day ‘yesh it’s going well’. Since my last post just over a week ago it’s all gone haywire:

  • no fat loss at my weekly weigh in, but I had lost muscle (oh joy)
  • problems with my digestion therefore prompting the naturopath to put me on a cleanse for two weeks
  • my birthday outings filled with sugar and alcohol breaking my resistance and leaving me with carb cravings
  • the scales haven’t moved

The good? I’m getting back on track one meal and exercise session at a time. I moved this week’s appointment out to next week to allow me to get on track and have some results!

Tuesday – Day Three

Urgh. The scales hadn’t budged this morning making me feel a little down and doubting. I went to the gym tonight (which was great) so hopefully I’ll see movement tomorrow. At this stage I have to lose a whole kilo to meet my birthday goal this time next week.

Monday – Day Two

Weighing a little heavier today which has me a little bit concerned – maybe doubting myself a little, but not enough to throw me off my aim.

I had my tap class tonight which was lots and lots of fun!

I made the Fibre X up into breakfast muffins for tomorrow. I can’t wait to see what they taste like.

Sunday Week Three – Day one

Week three beginning!!

I have a small goal I want to achieve and it’s going to require some extra effort from me this week. I want my scales to read under 73kg for my birthday on the 13th. This morning they read 73.8 so I need to focus!

Next Saturday I’m on a winery tour for my birthday. I’m super aware that this will impact my birthday goal, so extra exercise this week and sticking very closely to the plan so Saturday will have less impact.

The naturopath gave me some cereal called Fibre X. As a cereal it’s a little unpleasant, but follow the recipe on the back to make a pancake and WOW! It’s nice to have pancakes for Breakfast on the weekend.

Saturday – Day Seven

Oktoberfest. Large sausages, potato cakes, schnapps… I had it all in moderation. We then went out for dinner which was great as our hosts served chicken salad. Not my best day, but completely ok.

Friday – Day Six

I went out for dinner tonight and had dumplings! Yes, dumplings count as falling off the low-carb wagon for the evening but gosh they were fantastic! I didn’t feel guilty afterwards either which was a nice change from previous weight loss efforts. I guess it’s because I know I can do it this time and had a dumpling or ten now and then.

Thursday Day Five

Naturopath appointment today! I’ve lost a total of 2.4kg since I started seeing her two weeks ago! Hooray!

She’s given me some low carb cereal to try this week given I was going to go off the muesli and are a little sick of eggs. She said it’ll take a bit of getting used to which sounds…ominous! I also came away armed with a recipe for a low carb chocky cake! Can’t wait to bake that up.

100g until I get my first 2.5kg loss reward.

Today I noticed I’m feeling a little bloated again, I think I need to cut back on the cereal in the morning and replace it with some eggs perhaps. I am getting more fibre having cereal though so it’s a tough call…
